Madagascan Gourmet Vanilla Pods 15cm +.
Our Madagascan Gourmet quality vanilla pods are supple, black and full of flavour and with an exquisite aroma. Madagascan Bourbon Vanilla is regarded by most as the world’s best Vanilla and these Gourmet Madagascan beans will not disappoint. These pods have a moisture content of 25 – 40% and 1.2 – 2.2% vanillin content. Our Gourmet Pods are 15 + cm, 3-4 grams average gross weight per pod and are available packed in vacuum packed pouches in 5’s,10’s, 250gr, & 1000gram pouches.
At Vanillaetc we are careful to source the best Grade A Bourbon beans from Madagascar. Vanilla pods are graded by their colour, with the highest quality classed as ‘black’. They are actually a very dark brown and should be creamy and sweet with vanillin overtones. Our stringent quality control means that you can be sure you will only ever receive the very best beans.
Storage: When stored correctly, in an airtight container in a cool, dark place, vanilla beans should keep for up to 2 years, however we recommend only buying quantities that you will use within a year. Temperature and an airtight container being the most significant factors in successful storage. Ideally vanilla pods should be kept at 15 – 20C.
